The Feast of the Flood is celebrated on Pentecost Sunday and Holy Spirit Monday and draws its roots from the Genesis of the Old Testament, from Greek Mythology and Cypriot Folklore that is connected to the Goddess Aphrodite being born in Cyprus. The customs of the Flood as they are performed today are undoubtedly very different than earlier times, the feast evolved in various narratives, politics and aesthetics, even so persists to attract hundreds of people from all over the island in Finikoudes coastline to be a part of this experience.
